ABOUT US

At Hadley Date Gardens®, we take pride in producing the highest quality dates on the market. Our family-owned and operated company reflects the enterprising and hard-working spirit of our pioneering roots coupled with the energy and creativity of younger generations. Our desire to serve the community and care for our land motivates us to maintain our position as stewards of the earth, while growing, tending and distributing wholesome, nutritious California dates.

Integrity and family values drive our business. The hard work and respect we put into our growing process is rewarded with high-quality dates we take pride in producing. Our family origins can still be felt, from the valued employees who work in our orchards and packing houses to the date enthusiasts who enjoy our produce.

OUR ROOTS

Hadley’s has been a Southern California icon since the early 1930s, when entrepreneur Paul Hadley opened his roadside fruit stand business in Cabazon, California. In order to supply his expanding sales, Mr. Hadley branched out and established Hadley Date Gardens® in the neighboring Coachella Valley. The Keck family began farming dates in the Coachella Valley in the early 1940s. When the Keck family purchased Hadley Date Gardens® in the 1980s, they merged the two companies, bringing nearly 50 years of farming and packing expertise to the Hadley Date Gardens® brand and allowing us to rapidly establish ourselves as preeminent leaders in the California date industry. For nearly 80 years, we have taken pride in our hard work and family values. Many of our employees span generations and we consider ourselves a family. We are proud to prioritize respectful, fair and reliable working conditions. Together, we strive to grow, pack and ship the highest quality, domestically grown dates available.

OUR MISSION

Hadley Date Gardens® grows and packs the highest quality California dates available in the commercial marketplace. We do this with passion and care for our employees, customers, consumers, and the environment – honoring the legacy and heritage of the generations that came before us and setting the stage for those that will follow.

STEWARDSHIP

At Hadley Date Gardens®, we believe we are called to be stewards of our lands and resources. We strive to leave a soft footprint on our environment and a positive mark on our community for generations to come.

Dates are a natural fruit and we aim to provide a natural growing environment in which they can properly develop and mature. We are committed to remaining at the forefront of efficiency in farming, which is why we use sustainable water management practices and solar energy. Nearly 70 percent of the energy we consume in our processing and packing plant operations is generated by solar panels located on our property.

The hard work and diligence we employ in our growing and packing processes yield high-quality dates. As growers, it is our responsibility to sustainably manage and cultivate our conventional and organic farming operations to ensure that our orchards thrive, not only for the current crop but for those that follow.
